VinFast - Online Sales Manager

After a highly successful start-up in Vietnam, VinFast will enter the European market with the launch of their Pininfarina-designed, 100% electric SUVs model line-up, starting in with Northern America and Europe. With a Direct-to-Consumer business model, they have an ambitious growth strategy planning rapid retail and aftersales facility expansion in Europe over the next 12 months. A Europe Marketing, Sales and Distribution entity has been established to sell and service VinFast products. Initial target markets are Germany, France and Netherlands with corporate offices located in Paris, Frankfurt & Amsterdam and showrooms established throughout each country. Their management team is now looking for talented individuals from the automotive, retail consumer products, and technology industries. Top applicants will possess entrepreneurial mindset, be creative problem solvers, have an incredible work ethic and thrive in a start-up environment.

As the Online Sales Manager, you are accountable to achieve the online sales target for all products (e.g. vehicles, accessories). You will work closely together with the showrooms team and with marketing to achieve the best sales result for VinFast Netherlands. In this role you take care of a seamless customer journey and understand customers/visitors can be active next to online at the same time offline (showroom visit). Your accountability to sales in general is more important than the separated targets for online and/or offline sales. Digital savviness is key and a proven skill.

Your challenge:

Sales Planning
• Develop a sales plan for private and Business customers (volumes, product, packages, incentives) for the online channel in alignment with the markets for all products and services and offline offers.
• Develop the Online Sales & Service action plan with the CRM team, product team, after sales and marketing (social media)
• Agree on joint targets with Sales and After Sales

Sales Operation
• Monitor and proactively influence the online sales funnel and step by step convert (measurable)
• Identify areas for improvement and act to it
• Constantly manage performance and quality of the action plan and increase efficiency
• Closely cooperate with the offline partners (sales staff in showroom and Sales Team at HQ NL & EU)
• Manage 3rd party / partners along the online journey (e.g. financial services, trade-in, special offers)
• Steering a team of Account Managers being in direct contact with (hot) leads, customers via e.g. chat, phone, mail etc. Strict coordination and overview of follow up on this is all reported in Salesforce and well-coordinated with the Showroom Teams.
• Weekly reporting on improvements and funnel management in relation to targets

Continuous improvement
• Articulate required process and system support to improve customer orientation and sales
• Develop a pragmatic roadmap for further development of the online sales funnel in coordination with the offline process

Your background:
• A minimum of 4 years of progressive business experience in the realm of online sales / ecommerce of complex products
• Strong background in sales planning and execution
• Highly preferred knowledge of/experience with business start-ups, entrepreneurial ventures, or proven skills ‘being an entrepreneur
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, parent company leadership, and relevant external vendors and partners
• Being fully up to date on the latest and emerging technologies, as well as developed through experience and/or education
• Language skills: Dutch/English
• At least Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related area.
