At CarNext, the aim is to disrupt the European market for high-quality used cars. This B2B and B2C digital marketplace will be the platform of choice for customers and partners to buy, lease, and subscribe to high-quality used cars in Europe (2 million cars). The 3-4-year-old used car market is a large, growing €65bn market which is highly fragmented and ill-served, with low levels of transparency and consumer trust, making it ripe for disruption. As B2C Manager you'll be responsible for all commercial B2C activities and customer care for CarNext Netherlands, including coaching and developing the B2C teams. This role also includes financial responsibilities in controlling cost, making decisions regarding the building and store maintenance and being involved with the facilities and procurement team. Regarding supplier management, the B2C Manager deals with third party suppliers (e.g., maintenance, transport, trade-in car, etc.) and is responsible for approving all invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve and evaluate (commercial) goals consistently with the team;
• Analyze results deviation to understand the problem and its cause, and then define the action plan;
• Train the supervision role (i.e., Sales Coach);
• Participate in improvement projects in the area;
• Manage the human resources of the area, proposing the forecast and operational needs, and promoting their development, productivity, focus on change and growth and alignment with the culture of the company;
• Manage the offer for the sales channel, ensuring the balance in the various sales channels in order to maximize the sale result and the stock aging;
• Manage the process of selling cars in the second-hand market, as well as the sale of other products associated with the acquisition of the vehicle, guaranteeing the maximization of profits;
• Manage the selection process of vehicles available in stock for the B2C channels, ensuring that the offer is suitable for the used market and the needs of potential customers (this is in close corporation with the sourcing manager);
• Facilitate the whole sales process by supporting all processes that allow the sales to happen (e.g., solving problems with financial impact, more complex client complaints, etc.);
• Manage periodic meetings with the team to discuss results, conduct brainstorming session, update about the business, etc.;
• Manage audits (both internal and external, present evidence that all rules and policies are being followed;
• Ensure that all processes are correctly implemented and the information is filled in the systems (AutoManager and CRI);
• Have an eye for the increase in digital change of the market.

Your competences and skill set:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably Automotive);
• Excellent (native) Dutch and English speech and writing skills;
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar leadership position within (car) sales retail and/or remarketing;
• Know how to execute the sales process according to the Sales Funnel Manual;
• Demonstrate technical knowledge about the car (e.g., car parts, how the car works, fuel, hybrid and electric cars, etc.) and other products (e.g., financial and ancillary services);
• Adapt well to technology and make efficient use of the necessary tools and systems (e.g., AutoManager, CRI, trade-in system, Store’s mailbox, MS Office, etc.).
• People manager with a “lead by example” mentality;
• Result driven;
• You are an entrepreneur, proactive person, hands-on mentality and a commercial mindset.
